Hi I'm new and am still bonding. We are in Edmond. I have a 6mo old male. I am going to have to treat like a rescue because the person I got him from doesn't know anything but the " breeder's" first name. The breeder is somewhere in Tulsa.

Hi Laverne, There are several breeders here in Tulsa. If you want you can email me or PM me the breeders first name and maybe I can help you out. I am one of several licensed breeders here in Tulsa. Welcome aboard. We have another Okie. Anita

Two of my babies are from a first name only breeder in Tulsa. Her name is Tonya. The story I got was that she was getting out of the business because of her health. I paid 180 for 2 gliders and a cage if that tells you anything. You can defiantely tell the difference between a hand raised joey and one from a mill breeder. Buddy and Holly I'm still working on their ability to be held and getting them used to human interaction. Donna, who I got from Queenduck on this website, is an absolute sweetheart! And I met Anita this past weekend...she's a wonderful person who cares about her "granbabies"...LOL! If there's anything you ever want to know about these little slices of heaven, you can either find the answer somewhere on here, or one of the many members knows where to find the answer. I'm in Moore so I'm a little closer than Anita, but I don't have half the knowledge she does. I'm still learning alot myself. welcome to your new obsession!!!!

Hi All! Just want to stop in to the OK forum and say hi, I am not new to the boards, just been off for a LONG while... used to live in CO, just moved to Norman OK in June. Hubby & I are buying our first home in Norman. Now owned by just one lone older male, Yoda, who we are on the look out for any other older gliders needing re-homes/rescues. Not wanting to breed so if we take on a female we'll have Mr. Yoda neutered, hoping to maybe avoid that trauma though and find an older neutered male. Yoda is VERY friendly, and has been with us since November 2007, we are still working on manners and bonding, but besides being a little "nippy" he is just a doll and we love him lots, getting to buy lots of new goodies for him too now that we are getting a new house he is getting a cage upgrade! And due to the weather being MUCH hotter here in OK got to buy some new cloth pouches too I love spoiling my babies, lol. So howdy & Face hugs to everyone

I'm in Moore and my current "pack" is growing by the paycheck...LOL!!! at home with my right now is Buddy and Holly, with 2 IP. Their lines are unknown and they weren't supposed to have babies before I could get him fixed. Donna is al by herself at the moment but not for long. Val comes home in two weeks...she's a WFB Ringtail...and Dasher is probably coming home the same week...he's a Ringtail Mosiac, who is possibly sterile. I welcome phone calls whenever so heres my number 405-203-8986.

You know it dawned on me that I've already been to a convention, talked with most of the people in this particular forum, but I never introduced myself. So here goes...
My name is Andi and I live in McLoud. I babysit for BuddyHolly, so I actually count myself lucky, not only do I get to enjoy all my babies, but her's too (2 and 4 legged.) Me even getting into sugar gliders was kind of an accident, my roommate bought 2 and thought I should have one since I said how adorable they were. Found Shy who we decided needed a cage mate (due to eyesight problems,) so we got Rascal and it's kept going ever since, lol. But I wouldn't trade a one.
But for anyone else who comes on here, Welcome, you couldn't have found a better place. There are some wonderful people here, but better than that there are some great people in Oklahoma.
Toodles

Hey guys. Here's some information regarding neutering in the Stillwater, Oklahoma area. There are two vets that work only on zoo, exotic, and wildlife animals, and they are Dr. Ketz-Riley and Dr. McNabb. The cost is only $120, including a physical check-up and professional analysis of lifestyle, diet, and socialization. They OSU vet Center uses a laser neutering process, which allows a quicker healing time than the traditional scalpel. For any glider owners that live in a close proximity to Stillwater, be sure to set up an appointment at 405-744-7000! Aside from that, does anyone know typical behavior traits of two neutered males living in the same cage? I've come to notice some peculiar habits, but I would like to have some feedback that others have noticed to make sure that I am not being too cautious.
