I'm not sure if this is the right place to post. I love to sew. Problem is my gliders now inhabit my sewing room. They get one side of it and I get the other. It's upstairs out of the way and away from kids. I want to continue to sew but I haven't since I started getting these guys. I'm afraid to disturb them during the day, and I would have to have the light on at night. I really don't want to carry my machines downstairs every time I want to start a project. I thought maybe cage covers at night would block the light. Or maybe they would do fine if I sew during the day? Any input would help.

You should be able to sew during the day, I would think ...

They adjust pretty well to noise. If you sew regularly they will get used to it and it shouldn't disturb their rest.

Mine are in the den amidst the entire family with the computer, tv, video games and skin kids and after their first couple of weeks in the house they became accustomed to the noise.

and if you use a very focused light, you should be able to sew at night ... mine don't mind a light on in the room - as long as it isn't too bright in their cages ...

Whewww! I thought I was doomed to a suggie only life! ooo Which wouldn't be too bad! I haven't even tried my hand at sewing suggie stuff yet, because I didn't want to disturb them. I really do get overprotective sometimes! mlove

Oh, sew away, girl. Mine are never bothered by it. I think it's like white noise to them.

LOL if I play music in my comp room/suggie room...and its too loud..theyll crab. Otherwise, they don't seem to mind other sounds...and my husband LOVES his surround sound and with an open floor plan house...you can hear that bass!

I used to sew while carrying around the gliders in a pouch and the machine never bothered them, it was when I was cutting the fabric that they'd crab, lol. They hated the sound of the scissors. tounge
