I have my little boy Echo whoz about 3 months oop. Sure he's a little pain sometimes but when I finally got a good look at him, I noticed he didn't have a bald spot. Not even the slightest indications that there ever will be. Is he just a late bloomer or something? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thanx.gif" alt="" />

No, hes still too young. Male gliders start as early as 4 months. So when he gets a couple months older you might start seeing a bald spot forming.

I got Relly and Gus Gus when they were a few months OOP. Gus didn't really have much at all in the way of a bald spot. It seemed to start developing suddenly one week. Remember, they don't really reach maturity until about 7 months (for males that is).

Dayla, i agree with Dustin that the gliders can reach maturity as early as 4 months. It just depends on your gliders.

Ok, but my last glider Rio had his bald spot at 2 months oop when I got him. Sadly he he died of an unknown cause but I was kinda thinking he might have just been extremely early!

Peggy's little Dasher started getting his bald spot at 5 or 6 weeks oop! But still, it isn't uncommon for a 6-7 month old to just be starting to get theirs. Not to worry!

Judge not until you have walked in their shoes and lived their lives. What you see online is only part of the story.

I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

I looked at Zayne a couple of days ago, really closely, and I noticed his is starting to form also, its very suttle(sp?) but if you look closely, you can see it starting to form, and hes only 3mos and a week old! Im with everyone who says it depends on the Glider, lol

I was just discussing bald spots with Priscilla Price yesterday because I have a 5 month old male with no bald spot... Priscilla said that it's not uncommon for males to never get a bald spot and still be capable of breeding. It actually turns out that the female I have paired with my bald spot-less male comes from a line where the males don't really have bald spots either...

Canstarhun, I understand that they can start early, Gus Gus actually did. I was just stating an average time.
