Is Hemp Rope safe?

Hey there, I have a bit of cloth wire that has been bent into a tube for the gliders to climb on. It's sealed up with hemp twine, is that safe to use? Is there something in Hemp that is unsafe or toxic? Thanks guys!

Hemp is non toxic for gliders but I would be careful that they can't get their toes caught in it. Other then possible snag issues, it is safe.
