Cindy, your heart will never guide you wrong. Popeye knows that your love has been and will always be there for him. I'm sorry that you had to take this step, but know that he is at peace with all of the other babies that are surrounding him with joy. My prayers are with you.

OMG. I am so sorry Cindy. If you need to talk, you have my number. Hang in there hunny. You made a choice to take his pain away and I know Popeye would be greatful for you. You were so perfect tp him and gave him a wonderful life. He was a VERY lucky guy to have you!

I feel so sad for you. You gave Popeye the greatest gift a pet owner can give to a pet and that was to ease his suffering and help him cross over the Rainbow Bridge.

Thank You, it means alot. I just wish doing the right thing didn't feel so awful. My heartache is so immensly painful, I never dreamed the grief would hurt so bad. It was stange, as I was leaving the vet I thought to myself, I have 10 more gliders that's 10 more times I will have to feel this pain and loss and it was devasting! Love comes with it's consequences that's for sure.

Cindy, I'm so sorry. Popeye knew how much you loved him to let him go.

Yes, Cindy, I will agree with you that it is SOOOO incredibly painful to fall in love with an animal & have to say at a certain point "I love you SO MUCH but I know I have to let you go". I've had to do it a couple times & it isn't an easy thing to do at all. But the things that you need to remember is that you did EVERYTHING you could for Popeye...literally everything!

He'll always be in your heart & with you in spirit.
