How many toys should you have in a cage at one time? What's a good, basic number? And how often should those toys be rotated/changed out for new ones?

You don't want to put so many in that they can't jump around. Here at the rescue every cage has a toy they can make noise with and a wheel. Some have floor toys and ball pits depending on the size of the cage.

It would depend on the size of the cage and how much room is left over for them to jump around in. Gliders do love to jump/glide.

It would also depend on the toys, and their size.

I keep several single pulleys hanging around the cage,, a couple of foraging toys, a tunnel, hideout for chilling in during the night, a toy box or small floor toy in the bottom, 2 wheels, and a treadmill as well. We now have a congo cage, with two very hyper gliders. I change things around for the second week and do a complete change every other week.

You can tell when gliders get bored, but once a week is a good start along with resetting every morning what they have played with.
