Hello All,
My name is Madison and I am a relatively experienced suggie momma by now. I first had suggies when I was in high school and loved them so much. Unfortunately, like all of our beloved pets, they don't stay with us as long as we like. I now have two new colonies, both pairs of cage mates, all about 4 years old. One colony consists of Winter, an albino female, and Spring, a male mosaic, who are as sweet and adventurous as can be. The other consists of two black beauties, Fall (male) and Summer (female).

This colony is the one I currently need help with. Little background, I rescued these two from a little girl who did not know or have the time to properly take care of and properly bond with them. During their year with her (they were joeys when she got them), Summer developed an aggressive demeanor and a bad biting habit.I have been trying to breaker her of this habit for years and she no longer bits me. However, she still acts defensively and will bite others, which has recently extended to Fall. I have had my brother taking care of them for about a week at the start of this month. He noticed that Fall did not come out of his pouch when he was feeding them, which is not normal for him at all because he loves cuddles. My brother told me this so I went to check on him. I was horrified by what I found! He was severely emaciated, dehydrated and his tail was clearly injured and infected. All of which occured in the week my brother was feeding them for me because I had just had him out playing with me before this. I immediately took him to my vet and he is being taken care of. He is doing surgery today for his tail and has been on painkillers and antibiotics, as well as a vet provided diet to help him gain his weight back up quickly. He is making a wonderful recovery. Me and my vet discussed everything and we agree that Summer needs to be rehomed with other, more aggressive suggies.
Which leaves me here. I am looking to rehome Summer to either another colony with other gliders that are also more aggressive or to someone who is interested in taking her solo, provided they are able to invest the time and patience that it would take to bond with her. I am unable to keep her solo with the other gliders too think about, as well as my work schedule. Please let me know any and all information that you believe can assist me with this matter.
