So, Dot kicked both Stewie and Fiona out last night. It was only Stewie she kicked out the night before. I'm checking on her this morning... Not normal...

I may have missed that one. Mary and I were looking at it to make more. I will have to find it.

Sorry, I won't make it. I was able to get some help with the basement this weekend & am hoping to get a lot done. Since the goal is to have it completely finished before my mother visits the middle of next month, I cannot pass on assistance

For the second weekend in a row, I ended up down-for-the-count sick. So much for a productive weekend. I tried asking the fuzzies to bring me soup, but only got a grumble, sneeze, & they went back to sleep.

After all the yoggies I've given them, too!! Sheesh.

It's the germs here...

I spent my first 3 months in Germany catching everything. Their germs are different...

Came home and was sick for about 2 months off and on. But didn't catch any flu for about 2 years...

Hope you feel better soon!!! Oh and my 3 fuzzbutz love to cuddle with me when I'm sick. Fiona especially. Poor Stewie looks at me like "I'm sorry, but my mealies are in the fridge... Wanna mealie? I'll share... But you gotta get up and get us some!!!" He's still trying to fit in.

According to the doc, tisn't germs, tis allergies. Somehow I wasn't allergic to the states when I left, but since returning my lung keep producing mucus. There is a large part of me that questions this, but it's not like I've had the eight-plus years of education to counter their arguments.

Your Stewie is more compassionate than my fur-turds have been. All I've gotten from mine is "no treats, no cuddles." Well, cuddles might be okay if I wasn't coughing as much as I have been. The disturbance of said cough-fits are not acceptable without compensation in the form of yogurt drops.

That irritated, judgemental glare you get as you walk in after a long day, having failed to anticipate everyone wanting to wake an hour early, which resulted in dinner not already served and waiting.

Hey, I been trying to quote here for 3 days... I've been "500 errored" out.... It worked!!!!! I was so excited to try it, I forgot what I was gonna say!!!!!! Darn, darn, darn!!!!! (Anybody know who said that from a 1960's TV series? And put in the form of a Jepardy question?)

Dinner around here on the weekend is usually late. Since we are working overnight, we try to do things on the weekend and our late morning early afternoon naps can last 5-9 hours.

Further collective expressions of my gliders' opinions:

After a post-procedure nap, I feel like cuddling my furballs. I pull them out of the cage and plop down with my laptop for a movie (TV still not set-up). I look down to see four groggy, crazy cute faces blearily looking up at me, so I give them a head-scratch each. I go about getting the movie going as they move around getting resettled.

When I look down again, instead of four faces, there are four butts pointed up at me. I guess they weren't overjoyed at being woken up.

Hey, at least you can count them!!!

My three lay sideways and moulded together like melted Milk Duds... If it weren't for Stewie having a lot of white, I couldn't tell where one starts and one ends...

Arthur has still been a grumpy lil *ahem* to the others... but it comes & goes during the night. It seems less that he's being pouch-protective as I first thought & more like he's grumpy, uncomfortable, & wanting to be left alone. Like the old man yelling at kids to get off his lawn.

I need to get him in to be seen. That also means I need to: 1. Find time; 2. Make an appointment; 3. Afford the x-rays & additional labs the vet wants to do (tis the season after-all & I'm still getting this house set up. Should have been an officer.)

All in all, he seems to be doing okay, outside of the grumpiness. He still lets me handle him (even feel-up his stomach & sides to make sure there isn't any mass), mess with the pouch while he's in it, or pet him in general... as much as he ever has anyways, all things being relative. It seems to only be the other gliders with which he gets snappy, but doesn't seem aggressive outside of 'go away' crabbing & lunging from the pouch. No chasing or anything when they're out & about together.

Of course, he'll probably be grumpy with me after the next round of medication which he has coming his way vet gets back from his vacation after Thanksgiving, I feel I shouldn't put it off much longer than that.

I hope he gets back to his normal self soon!!!

Have you got a scale?

You may want to keep track of his weight till he gets to the vet. Also check for hydration with the 'tent test'.

Stewie is pretty persistent about being allowed into the sleeping pouch with the girls. So I provide more blankies, and at least 1 fleece pompom for him to cuddle with till they all are asleep enough to snuggle together. Sometimes he just makes a nest out of army men covered with blankies and the girls will join him.

He won't carry them, but waits at the top of the pouch for me to hand to him. He is a character most of the time!

Gremlins are good as long as I don't feed them after midnight or add water.

We spent some time today playing the Sugar Glider version of Wack-A-Mole. I hold an XL yoggie above their pouch, a head pops up to snag it, & it dives right back down. Even when you think they might be napping, the game is always on, hehehe...
