Culture results-NEGATIVE!!
Hopefully this means that the title of this thread is WRONG. My apologies for misleading you. I'd rather your title of thread to be wrong! No need to apologies, it felt that way, and it must have been tormenting. I'm super glad to hear the news on Dalton!

Laurie-thank you for your prayers and welcome to Glider Central!! I've been remiss in not updating this thread. Dalton survived his third surgery and is as close to 100% as he will ever be. And thanks to all of the gliderfolk who followed this topic-posters and nonposters. Our prayers worked!!

Thanks Feather!! How often did I break down as I tried to convince myself that if I really believed in 'going for the good of the glider', I would let him go. Even with the best exotic vet in the southeastern U.S., Dalton had little chance of surviving the 3rd surgery. But he not only survived, he came through like the little champ that he is and was entertaining the vet techs while he was coming out of the anaesthetic. Thanks again to everyone who has followed this thread and offered encouragement. It means the world to me.
