It's moving day again.
I can never sleep on moving day. Lots of times I can't sleep for other reasons, but the anticipation of moving the rigs to a new site always gets me jumping around.
Apart from the lack of sleep, it's...mostly a positive feeling.
However...when I don't sleep, I end up working or playing on the computer. And the gliders just keep begging to come out.
Now that we have the new glider condo mostly done, I actually only let them free range about 50 of the time.
A night out rampaging.
A night in the cage.
A night out rampaging.
A night in the cage.

It's making worlds of difference trying to keep the place clean.

But last night they were out.

As I lurch out of bed and stumble to the coffee maker, a furry waffle hits the side of my head from the left. Justin.

Pour a cuppa 'three-day' into a dirty mug, and nuke.
Hitting the button on the microwave I feel two parallel tracks racing up my back. Athena and Arrow.

A flurry of good-morning chittering as the three whirl around daddy tree's shoulders and face, and joyously cover daddy tree in good-morning pee.

Arrow launches himself off the shoulder and rides the roll of paper towels all the way to the floor. They all run off the roll into a pile.

Step over pile, coffee in hand...

Determined to beat me into the living room, and right underfoot, Mrs. Frisby charges out from under the bathroom door. Dogs stampede after. Charlie bounds right through the water bowl, water erupts everywhere. Chelsea pulls the fan down. Crash.

Sit on the futon. Another waffle hits the back of my head.
Trying to Cover coffee in my hand--Aria is crawling around my face, trying to get her nose into the coffee mug. Barring that, she's is trying to get her tail into the coffee mug--she just really wants some part of her in that that coffee mug.
75 lbs of dog climbing into my lap--trying to see what Aria is doing with the coffee mug.
Finally shoo Aria away. Dogs joyously bound away after her.
More crashing.
Flick fly out of coffee.

Sit down and look at GC...
Drink coffee.
Hope that was a fly...

As always ... I love your stories! sounds like a good morning to me. I wish I felt so comfortable just letting the fuzzbutts run so free. When mine are out I keep a sharp eye on them if they are not on me I'm so worried they'll end up nuzzled up somewhere they shouldn't be or "lost" or even worse, get hurt somehow (even though it doesn't seem dangerous to me) you just never know, and their freedom sets off my alert signals big time.

Anyways, good luck on the rig hook up and move, hope it goes easy and well and keep the tales commin'!

We made it.
And this time the cage held up with no containment failures. New way to mount the guest cage gives me unlimited weight limit to hang other things in the air too.
All the tubes move with the sliders and the guest cage slides out of the way as the sliders come in.

Everyone is mad. Daddy tree has been keeping them locked up more.

It's ok, Squids. Soon you will have a new nest BOX--that will hold up to even daddy-tree's best air guitar.

Then your love spell for the new condo will be complete, and I can quit wearing my hockey gear to bed.
