Awww... That's mean! I am impressed they knew where they were! BTW, the trunk skeleton of a Cholla is quite decorative. You have seen it before I'm sure. It's hollow wood, very tough, and full of holes... You can find them everywhere out there. Just wear boots, and leather gloves to knock bark off. I've even seen bird toys made out of them. Very safe to handle once the bark is gone. Has to be washed or sun dried to make sure no critters took a ride. Like scorpions, spiders, etc...
