So, I'll preface what should probably be obvious by admitting I've always been a military bachelor upset ...so yeah, kind-of clueless when it comes to dealing with a variety of fabrics. With that in mind: How do y'all wash your fleece?

I normally wash all my clothes with cold water & dry on low to minimize shrinking & help things last. My washer does have a disinfectant setting for extra hot water & it occurs to me that stuff that probably has been peed/pooped on might need that. Which would be better?

Do you use the light, normal, or heavily-soiled amount of detergent?

Lastly, do you put your items in laundry bags to help protect it in the washer? I'm thinking hammocks or pouches are fine, but what about ropes, fleece squares, or the pom-poms for ball pits?

Thanks in advance! Any thoughts/suggestions/advice will be greatly appreciated.

I wash mine in warm water with what ever detergent I am using. I dry on low. If you dry it to hot it will melt a bit.

I throw the pouches in with regular laundry, usually inside out. They toys and such that aren't just fleece, I hand wash in warm water, lots of rinsing and hang dry.

Dryers provide plenty of heat for disinfecting. Pompoms are best to hand wash.

Thank you Dawn, Aqua, & Kimberley! :thumb2:

So, just to make sure I have this right, it sounds like warm water with normal-soiled amount of detergent for the washer, dry on low heat, & just toss all the fleece pieces in loose?

Do I have that correct?

I use a zippered mesh laundry bag for the little pieces like fleece scraps and strips.
