Any advice on helping my bonded pet jayhana get over the loss of his cage mate, they were totally best buds. I'm sad about Chingu passing but I think I'm in shock and just scared about how jayhana is going to handle this.

First, I am very sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in your memories of little Chingu.

Second, are you having a necropsy done? You should seriously consider this to rule out anything the other glider may catch.

Take Jayhana for a wellness exam to make sure she is ok.

Look into finding a cagemate for her as you will need to quarantine a new glider.

Spend extra time with her, put a small pet safe stuffed animal in her sleeping pouch.

Thanks, we had a rough night, ended up sleeping on the couch with jayhana in my nightshirt. He kept calling for Chingu so he settled down after some time cuddled with me. I feel sorry for his grief way more than mine.
