So I got a cruiser for my 2 suggies and I dont think they know how to use it!! I sat in the tent for hours playin with them on different days trying to teach them and they get about 2 full rotationson their own before they cant keep up and they send themselves spinning, just holding on for dear life. Lol I feel so bad and I thought they would have a blast in it. It is a full bounce also frown maybe I should have got minimal bounce. What do you guys suggest?

Keep trying to help them out or what? I dont want to give up...lol we spent $50 on it and I have seen videos of suggies goin crazy i just cant wait till mine are doin the same! They also have a wodent wheel but they scoot that thing all over the cage and try to jump in it but the bar in the middle is in the way...which is why we got this new wheel!!
Another problem i might have is mona is so tiny! Shes just nothing compared to murphys size and hes not heavy or huge at all so i think shes having more trouble starting it up...

Help! smile

Please and thank you
he he

Give it time! They'll get used to it and once they do, you won't be able to get them to stop! smile It's normal for them to be a little apprehensive about a new wheel. It'll change. smile

Actually, my gliders LOVE to play that "game" - get it spinning then hold on and "ride" the wheel LOL

I'm having the same problem. I also got the full bounce, and my suggies don't seem to be strong enough to get it going. They are so use to the wodent wheel that they just don't get it. So after a couple tries they gave up on it! frown Now I wish I would have gotten a half bounce. Why do I always do this? Seems I always choose the wrong thing, than later said I wish I woulda .......

I had both wheels in the cage, so they didn't even bother with the CC. So tonite I just took the WW out and put the CC in the same spot. I think they will have more interest in it. I figured I could put the WW with the nail file insert into the tent. That way I don't have to keep changing inserts and I can monitor it.

I'm really hoping they get the hang of it, as I was really disappointed! Especially spending all that money.

What to do, what to do....

I think you're babies will be fine. I bought the 1/2 bounce cruiser at the SGGA and my 2 little girls can spin that thing. They're rock stars on the wheel. My 2 older suggies didn't like it but prefer the stealth.

Paisley will spin the cruiser wheel and Maci will ride on the outside of it. Maci is just a little girl at 65 grams now and she can spin it like it's nothing.

Your babies will get the hang of it with time.

I have one in qall 5 of my cages. It may take them a bit but they will get it and when they do there will be no stopping them! Take out the other wheel as they are bound to go to the one that is simpler for them to use. Leave it in the cage and before u know it they will be having a blast. I have one little girl i got who did not have a wheel and is 3 months old and she cought onto it real fast when i got her home. She had it going with in days!

Joeys can spin the CC wheel, it's just a matter of time and them getting used to using it. Taking out the Wodent is a good step toward teaching them how to use the CC. Think about it - if you had the option of walking 3 miles on flat sidewalk, or 3 miles up a steep hiking trail, which one is easier? Which can you do without really thinking or watching your step?

There is a bit of a learning curve with the CC, sure. I bet they are already using it more than you think they are. I keep trying to get some good pics of mine playing in theirs, but as soon as mommy gets in the same room they are all over the front of the cage begging for treats. I can peek in from the other room though, and see the wheel spinning so I know they are using it, just not when there are even more fun things to play with, like me.

Ahhh well i can't wait for this to happen and I dont think they like spinning themselves yet bc its like they trip in it once they cant keep up then jump out lol...I tried taking it out one night and they did take more interest into it but mike (my boyfriend aka monas daddy) felt bad so he stuck it back in there!! I think i might try that again though because i am so anxious to see them goin to town on that thing!!

I guess we will see and i will post back!
Wish us luck ha ha smile
