i saw some mentions of reptariums and did some searching. its just a pvc cage w/ meshing like screen doors right? or am i missing something?

looks good, w/ a few down sides..but how long do these usually last? and is it something i could make at my apartment?

one last question; i saw, or thought i did a picture of a large cage w/ what looked like glass sides (can't find the topic). is this feasable? i mean..would my suggies like this as compared to a regular cage (made mine custom)?

I have had two reptariums for over 4 years with my gliders. Only one of the cages needs occasional patch jobs (because I have a avid chewer) which is something to keep in mind when deciding. But even with the patching, I would not trade my repts for any amount of free PVC caging because the repts are so much easier to take care of. (I had a pvc coated cage first).

I know some people have made rept like cages, but they are fairly inexpensive these days and the mesh is reinforced. Although, there are companies that sell replacement screens for the repts so I guess you could cut your own pvc and just buy a screen if you didn't want to do the sewing or couldn't find the right kind of mesh.

As far as a glass or any kind of slick sided cage, no, it is not a good choice for a sugar glider cage at all. They are climbers and cannot climb the sides, it is not healthy for them mentally or physically.
