Hello! I am new at this and this is my first time cleaning their cage. Can any one tell me what all needs to be done and how often? I have a big deluxe cage and two gliders. When I first got the cage I sprayed it with cage sheild. Do I need to spray this every time I clean it?

You'll find the longer you have your gliders, you'll end up making your own schedul for how you do things.

One thing most will recommend is to not clean everything at once. That way, something in the cage will always have the gliders' scent on it and it will hopefully reduce any trouble with over-scenting.

Here is an example of what I do.

One weekend, take out toys/pouches/etc. and clean just the cage itself. I like to wheel my cage outside, hose off, spray on a mixture of hot water, vinegar, and dish soap, scrub, rinse off, and thenn air dry. Others use steam cleaners, their showers, etc. to wash the cages.

Then the next week I clean toys and the bedding in the cage.

So each weekend I either clean the cage itself or the toys/pouches/etc. inside the cage.

Throughout the week I also wipe down daily with Clorox wipes.

I'm sure others will be along with examples of their schedules too.
