I had my new baby out tonight in a bonding pouch and he flew out and ran off. He got into the corner and just dissapeared. I've been up all night searching, sitting in the dark and there in no sign off him. I thought I heard a couple sounds in the kitchen but that was hours ago. I am so afraid that I am never going to find him. Please help, how do I get him to come out?!

I would make sure no other animals can get to your baby and then set up several pouches and food bowls. Check any boxes of open food because weve seen some people find them in cracker boxes to empty milk jugs.
Wont be long your baby will be ready ro curl up for bed and then you really wont hear them until dark again.

Turn off all power, the main breaker if you can. Sit very still and listen.

Make sure the toilet seats are CLOSED and there is NO standing water anywhere! Don't sit on a couch, recliner, bed or anything, suggies will hide in them and also in blankets!

I've got pouches and food everywhere, I even put out wheels. I closed up everything and I've been sitting in the dark her since 9:00 when he got away from me. I moved his cage into the room I lost him in but still no sign of him. I am soo worried. I just got him and he is still crabby and shy (just let me hold him the first time yesterday). If I ever do spot him I am not sure how I will cacth him....but I don't think he's come out of hiding all night.

If you haven't found him yet, it may be tonight. Does he crab at any particular sound? Does he have a favorite spot?

Couple of things:

1. Do not sit down without checking the spot out completely!
2. DO NOT do laundry - if you must, shake and pat every piece of clothing.
3. Do not remove anything from the house without a complete check. Check pockets, hoods, purses, anything that is carried out of the house.
4. Keep all other animals out today.
5. Make sure there is no standing water - buckets or toilets.

Tonight: Put food out in a centralized location and sit next to it in the dark. Have pouches with his scent on it. Put out his favorite food and some water to drink. Hopefully, he will come to the food and stay in the pouch.

I posted at the same time! Does he crab at loud noises? Walk around the house with a chip bag and crinkle it - once he is in bed, he will crab from there and you can grab the whole sleeping place and shove it in the cage. Good luck!

If you are not able to catch him once you find him, you can try throwing a piece of fleece over him and picking him up through the fleece. Good luck!

Nothing yet...I have to go to work for a few hours, then I am cancleing tutoring so I can search every inch of the house. I think he's either in the couch or somewhere in the kitchen-which makes finding him very hard. I did try being noisy at some point last night in desperation, but I did not here any crabbing...I'm going to try that again today. Crinkling a bag sounds like a good idea. I guess I don't have to worry about scaring him from coming out now until tonight since he will be sleeping all day. Thanks for all the advice, if you all have any other ideas let me know... anyone used traps?

I'm still looking. I've pretty much looked everywhere. I saw some poop and pee under couch. My house is sure going to be clean by the time I find him...I have no idea where he could be. I still need to look around the bed and in dressers and somehow under the appliances in the kitchen. I hope he comes out tonight. I am so sore and tired.

First time I lost my baby boy he was inside of my couch !!!! I don't know how in the world he got there, I have had to just cut the hole couch to get him, I was till 5 am looking for him. When I lost my baby girl the first time, she was in my closet, on my clothes...
This little guys love to hire, just try to go piece of the house inch by inch.

One of my guys jumped off my husband when he came walking up the hall from the bedroom. Turned around and he was gone.
We looked everywhere. We found him an hour later just inside my sons bedroom door he has a rack that he hangs his hats on.
There he was sitting in one of the hats watching us rum around looking for him... He looked very proud of himself.lol

One of my girls got out of her cage during the night.
She had discovered if she pushed where her stealth wheel hung she could squeeze out. We heard he before we knew she was missing. She had fallen into one of the empty 5 gallon water bottles in the laundry room.

I agree with trying to make some noise it doesn't always work.
Hopefully you will have some luck as it gets darker out.
Just remember they can be anywhere.

Have you taken apart the couch to see if your baby is in it underneath? (carefully, of course!)

No sign of him yet, but night has fallen and I have pouches with treats and food and water at every turn. I hope to hear from him soon. I've been over EVERY inch of the house in a systematic search so I suspect he's in the couch or in the kitchen somewhere...we turned over the couch yesterday but still couldn't see him. It is a big leather reclining couch, so he could still be in there. I just don't know, have to hope to hear him. He was so crabby too, I would just give anything to hear his little crab now, I will never complan about his crabby butt again! But there is nothing but silence.

I would take the couch apart, at least part of it at first. If it's stapled, nailed or however the leather is attached. It can be put back together again. He may be trapped in there and eating something like insulation or chewing on something not good for him.

Make sure there are no holes around plumbing pipes, if there are, use tin foil to cover them.

Is there any way he could have gotten outside?

I'm sorry to hear your baby still hasn't turned up. I know how terrible it is, two of ours have tried escaping their cages. Praying you find him tonight.

No I am still looking. I have been sitting in the dark the last 2 hours, don't here anything yet. I keep thinking I here the wheel going but it's just stupid geese squacking. I think I might try to take the couch apart soon, that was the only place I saw evidence of him roaming. My puppy hasn't heard anything either for a while-he is helping me listen with his giant ears-I added pics. I can't believe I haven't found him yet.

Check your pantry too! Anywhere you keep cereal, oatmeal, food stuff! He might have climbed into a box looking for something yummy.

Oh i hope he gets tired of playin hide and seek soon! You are doing the best you can and these things happen so please dont worry yourself to death. He will show up. Yeah, it's pretty lonley here in the dark and quiet. All my friends are at a party tonight I said there is no way I am going anywhere till I find my baby! I went through the pantry this afternoon, and all the laundry, I'll try the laundry again. I have no idea which room he's in so I keep switching every hour or so. If he would just make some noise and give me a clue! Thanks for all the ideas.

Some of our gliders like to play hide and seek in the closets in our bedroom. They can be pretty hard to see between hangers. Check pockets of clothes that are hanging too.

Old shoes, new shoes, shoeboxes, inside appliances like stove or behind microwave, fridge.

Towels and sheets that are folded, he may have gotten inside one of those and fell asleep.

Oh! Check stuffed animals! I heard of a suggie getting one open and using it as a pouch once!

Set out some chicken baby food, it's smelly enough and the gliders love it. Get the baby food chicken w/gravy.

Okay, I'll try that. I put euc leaves in some of the pouches-they are everywhere. I just keep putting more and more food out. I think I need to get some cigs anyway, I'm getting really discouraged here and I think it is going to be another long night. I am back to searching everything again, found a tiny flachlight that insn't too bright. It has been so long since I've seen him I also have my reading light cliped to me while I am searching through and under stuff. When I get back I will try to take apart the couch. That is not a picture I took, it is the picture the breeder sent me. He is 9 weeks oop now, I've had him for a week tomorrow. He is WF sunkissed. I only have pics and video on my phone of him that I took.

So I just pulled apart my kitchen and there are holes in the wall where the water heater is...I have no idea where they go,but there is insulation and stuff in there. I tried feeling around for him and makeing some noise but no luck. I am trying to stay positive but I just want to cry right now! I am so afraid I will never see him again. How long can they go with out food and water?

Without food and water...not very long. you will want to leave things out for him and try to sit out in the dark. Maybe put out some fleece pouches. Is there anything that he liked a lot that you noticed?

I remember when my Willow got out of her cage and was missing. I balled my eyes out...I found her wondering around a few hours later. I was scared to death with all my cats in the apt...but when I did not find her I knew that was a good sign at least.

As everyone said...careful with anything cushy (couch, chairs, laundry, bed...everything) Try not to take out trash or do wash until you find your baby.

I can't find my baby anywhere, it's been over 24 hour since I've last seen him. I tore apart my kitchen and there are holes in the wall for by the water heater. I am afraid he is in there! Does any one know about this? I am not sure where he can get through the holes. I am [censored] out WHERE IS HE?!

could he go up into the attic or crawl space from those holes? Or down into a basement or crawl space?

Wow! 24 hours? Try putting out some yummy smelling food and sitting with the lights off to see if you can hear him rummaging around. He'll be hungry and looking for food by now. Place a pouch on the outside of his cage, he may try returning to the cage and if he can't get to his pouch, he'll move on to another space so make sure he has a way to get into a pouch, preferrably one that is familiar to him.

I hope he can't get out of the unit but I really don't know, if he can get into the crawl space he is gone. I live on the third floor in a condo, the crawl space is dirt. I can't see where the holes in the wall go. I've had food and pouches out everywhere the whole time, I've been sitting in the dark since it got dark and I did last night too. He just isn't coming out of wherever he is, I haven't heard a peep since last night. I feel sick about it.

I'm so sorry that your little one is lost somewhere I remember when my glider got out she hid in the surround-sound speaker... it took me a long time to find her and finally, because she started crabbing when I walked by, I realized where she was was Check all little tiny places where there might be a hole within your condo. Some surround-sound speakers have little holes in the backs of them. Other places to check are in your laundry, in your clothes in your closet (check pockets, hoods, etc.), in extra pouches/cage accessories, above the refrigerator (nice & warm), in extra bathroom towels/linens... you get the idea. Well it's getting light out agiain so I think I am going to give up and go to sleep. I saw some more poo that could be his in the kitchen by the hole so I am afraid he may be in the wall. That would explain not hearing anyhthing from him these past two nights. I am devastated guys, I don't think I'm ever going to see my baby again. I'll do one more pouch check before I turn in. I did not take the couch apart yet, the back is open so I can see into it pretty well. I have to ask my fiancee before I tear apart his nice leather couch, but I am sure he will understand. I just want my baby back This has been the worst weekend ever.

Nope, not in the pouches. None of the food looks touched either. I just don't know where else to look. I hope he is still okay.

Have you tried walking from room to room with a tin can with coins in it and shaking it? Most of the time that will scare a baby into crabbing and then you can narrow down his location a bit more. I will keep praying you find him!

Be very careful before doing any laundry, make sure toilet lids STAY down, shake out every piece of laundry that you've worn, sometimes they'll sleep in that because it's familiar to them, etc.

Get his pouches and place them around where you think he's living.

No news yet, still waiting to hear a peep. Tried the can thing no luck. I might cut the hole in the wall bigger so I can at least see where it goes. I've been stitting there the last hour clicking trying to get his attention. I've got baby food out again and water and pouches everywhere. Just waiting to hear from him, I am starting to feel pretty hopeless though. Thank you all for your suggestions and prayers, I just keep praying that he will turn up.

No, another uneventful night. I stayed up till 2 but I had to get some sleep tonight since I had to wake up at 6 for work. I am becoming nocturnal. No sign of him at the pouches or food dishes. I think he is gone guys...my heart is breaking. I just keep thinking if I had only been a little quicker, if I had just put up the tent I would still have him. I am trying to cope with the the fact that I will probably never see him again. He was just a baby, I am so sad.

Until you know for sure...I would keep food left out for him and keep looking for signs of him being around. Best wishes and I really hope the little guy comes out of hiding. If he is not coming for the baby food you could try some nummy friut or something else that he really likes.

So I haven't found him yet but I'm still looking hard! I tore the place apart again this afternoon. I kicked the wall by the hole and made a big dent. I was hoping to kick it in but quickly realized my mistake as the oven outlet is right there...the oven covers it so hopefully no one will notice...Anyway I came home to a nice surprise that lifted my spirits a little, Sugaree's baby was hanging out of pouch and it's a little WFB girl-just what I was hoping for! I am going to keep her to be with mom, and if Soda ever shows up they can be a trio!

I didn't ever actually find him, but I can tell by the horrible stench in my condo that he must have died in the wall, probably a couple days ago(I was going to spare you all the details, but since you asked there it is). I am trying to find another sunkissed boy to help fill the big hole in my heart. I miss him so much.
