Have you been able to find another vet yet and get an appointment? Here's some links to check out from the GC vet Database. Looks like there's only a couple listed in KY and they are both in Lexington. Kentucky But there's several in Tennessee. (Some on the main links page for TN, and the others are listed under the cities.) It looks like the majority of them should be less than 2 hours from you. Tennessee Please keep us updated.

How is Taz doing this morning? I hope the night went okay with his e-collar and that he is doing okay for now. Please try to find another vet so you can get some pain medication for him. Also, if you haven't yet, please call Bourbon (she posted her number above) - she is definitely the expert when it comes to Self Mutilation and if anyone can help you with Taz, it's her! Please post an update for us again soon...

Oh my gosh! How horrible for the vet to just give up on him like that! If nothing else, do everything possible for the sake of the owner! It would be awful to give up like that and then later find out something COULD have been done and just wasn't! Oh, I really hope they've found another vet and can get Taz some help. Poor baby!!

Taz seems to feel ok today. the ecollar is working out so far. I did have a problem making the collar for him and putting it on.I was wondering if velcrow wouls work instead of ductape. Thanks for all the help there is out there. I am also hopeing that maybe since he has not wonted to bond to anyone that me taking care of him and showing him love with help him bond.He has always been alone.Very scared of everone around.

I don't know if you could use velcro instead, as I've never needed an ecollar (knock on wood) But I'm glad to hear he's feeling better. Are you going to take him to a different vet? And it is very possible that this will help form a close bond between the two of you. I had a dog that got hit by a car and she turned even sweeter than she was because I had to take care of her. I know of people who have had similar experiences with gliders too.

He has not crabbed as much though. seems to be more peacefull since the ecollar. hope he stays that way. I am taking him to gliders r us at our local flea market this weekend. I have talked to them and they have been helping me with everything but a e callor is something the they have not heard of.
