I am a new glider mom to 7 gliders, and hopefully 2 more soon. Lelu has been preg. for a while, but the joeys are not oop yet. Last night we were feeding them and noticed that Lelu only had one bulge. So we looked around the cage, and in the cage pouch to see what she may have done with it, We couldn't find it anywere, so we thought she cannibilzed the joey. She has done this the first time she was preg., so shes never been a mom before. Well we were just gonna wait to see what she did with the other joey before we did anything.I mean you can't do to much at that time. Then tonight when we were feeding them she has two bulges again!!!!! So what happened to the other joey last night?? Did it craw in with the other, on the other side... i just don't know because we are positive that there was only one bulge, we spent a very long time looking... I've heard storys like this, but i didn't get a answer to where the joey may have went? Anyone know??

When the moms clean the pouch and babies they do get moved around.....I had a scare the last time Kyra had twins IP i thought she ate one one nite...but when i checked on her the next time they were both in there...so don't freak out when u see it the next time...just keep an eye on her is all

She could be fooling you and only be pregnant with one joey the whole time. The baby could be laying sideways and then go to one side or the other and then sideways again. When it is laying sideways it would look like two joeys, but really only be one. I have had this happen before with a really good sized joey and I could have swore the mother had two in pouch but it was only one in the end. This may or may not be the case though. So happy that things are ok though <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

She could also be hiding the joey. Which is possible especially when the joeys are smaller.
