I was reading an article earlier today about food items....
I thought it offered pretty good advice.
Most of us Glider-slaves know the importance of our little ones
diet, how we should carefully prepare their foods, and make sure and wash fresh fruits and veggies well to help cut down on potentially harmful bacterias/pesticides. (I know some of us freeze stuff, etc...)
This article pointed out that we should not only wash the outsides of fruits and veggies, but also... when we cut into them, the knife can transfer bacteria to the insides. It advised also washing the fruit/veggie well after you cut them too. (it also mentioned cantaloupe as being one of the worst fruits for harboring harmful bacteria... the cantaloupe rind makes it hard to wash away bacteria it said.)
Just thought Id pass it along... never know when we may get ahold of a fruit or veggie thats harboring harmful bacteria/pesticide... always good to clean them well before feeding or freezing.
