Ok, SO I've been doing tent time with my little guys and if was going good. The first 2 times they both were goin crazy and loved every second of it. But for the past few weeks when I take them in, Duncan just hangs out at the very top and doesnt come down. He used to climb to the top and then jump on my head and crawl around but now he just sits there. It seems like he doesnt like it anymore. Ditto still has fun playing with all the toys and climbing on the fleece but even he cant convince duncan to play. Another weird thing is that he will come out of the cage into their room and jump around, its just when hes in the tent. I was wondering if maybe its because I bring them in before they come out of the pouch and hes still tired. He also prefers to eat before he plays but if I wait til he eats to go in the tent, i will never get him back in the pouch to transfer him. I thought about bringing their meal in the tent but that seems like id end up with a mess! Any suggestions?

If you want to wait until after dinner, try transferring him by baiting a hamster ball with a mealie or some other yummy thing. Close it up when he climbs in and take it in the tent.

That happens sometimes with the girls. Every once in a while we do an early tent time and it takes a while to get everyone warmed up and ready to play. I usually bring the pouch into the tent with me and pet them while their in there. I let them come out on their own to explore. When Lola is tired, she'll run down my shirt and curl up to sleep. LOL

He comes out of the pouch like hes gonna play but then he just chills at the top of the tent the whole time, no matter how long we r in there. I hook the pouch on the side of the tent incase he wants to go in but he never does??? I feel bad because I feel like he never has any fun especially when he goes right back in the cage after the tent!

Have you tried taking them in the bathroom? I alternate between the tent and the bathroom. Seems to keep it more interesting for them. They also go into their reptarium (its 260 gal and I set it up like a big jungle gym!) I usually put them in there while they are still sleeping, than after they wake up, go in either the tent or bathroom.

mine did that. At first they went crazy in there and then nothing. I sat in the tent watching TV with both of them in my bra. Fun huh?? lol They did this three times. So I put tent away for a week or so and sat or stood in front of their cage with the doors open and they ran on top of the cage all over it. Jack my boy actually jumped on the couch ran along the back of it and waited for me to get there and then jumped on me and did it all over again. It was so funny. He still does that. But couple nights ago I did the tent thing again and they absolutely loved it. Oh I would reccommend safety glasses and a hat. After getting hugged really close to the eyes I wear glasses and about the hat. Both kept jumping on my head which I thought was funny until I took a shower and my head burned because of the little cuts. It was sore for a couple days so I wear tight fitting knit hat. I look really weird in my tent

LOL! KJDuff! I know what you mean! I feel like I'm preparing for battle when I go into the tent. I have a long sleeve shirt, jeans, a knitted hat, and monkey slippers on. My girls never get tired of their feather teaser!

It sounds to me like your doing a fantastic job with them. I wouldn't worry, because all gliders have their own personality....Both of mine will act the same, one more so than the other. They do get bored easily, so sometimes you just have to adjust to their wants and wishes. Some nights mine like to play, other times just hang out, or lay in their pouch and get belly rubs. After you have them for awhile you will get used to their habits, and bend with them....Spoiled aren't they? Keep up the good work! Like a few suggestions given already, offer something new once in awhile. I even bring in plastic spoons, tooth brushes (new ones), stick a few small toys in a basket and they have a ball.....

UPDATE!!!! So the reason Duncan was not playing was so obvious I have no idea why I didnt think of it til last night..............He likes it darker!!! I know he doesnt like to come out of his pouch if it is too light in the room and I dont know why I thought it would be different in the tent. DUH! LAst night after he was sitting looking bored for like 45 minutes, it just hit me to see if I turned out the lights he would perk up. The second they were out he was runnin around like a madman. I'm so glad I figured him out. I guess I didnt think of it because Ditto could care less how many lights are on.
