Instead I'll give them pine nuts or a mealie. Why you ask? Well, here's the story: My grandkids wanted dessert after a late dinner, we watched some TV and they were ready for bed. So all 3 brushed their teeth. Then the youngest asked for a cookie... Well, being a grandma, I gave each of them one. The two older ones(girls) immediately went and brushed their teeth again. They encouraged the younger one to do the same and he refused... So with some encouragement from me, he brushed his teeth again. Now remember, he's the one who asked for a cookie in the first place... He finally begrudgingly did what was asked. After they settled in and fell asleep, I thought about it... Is it really a good idea to give gliders sugar before they go to bed? Especially when it's something that may stick to their teeth? I know their nectar is sweet as are some fruits and vegetables. KarenE Owner Joined: Mar 2000 Posts: 43,322 LittleRock, AR USA	Hmmmm, well that's very good logic for our skin kids who actually do brush their teeth, however, gliders don't (I've always wondered about cavemen/women and their hygiene ) However, something hard like a nut or the exoskeleton of a meal worm would be much better for them and would indeed logically clean their teeth.
