I got my first glider when I was 17, so .... 2001? She passed away after about a year because of a pouch incident (wish I had found GC then). I didn't get gliders again until 2007. I've had Bella and Tum Tum since July or August 2007, and I've had Athena, Alegra and Socrates since the end of 2007.
