So we were playing during playtime the other night and I kept trying to put one of the joeys on Aeneas's back and he would pull it off. Dido, on the other hand, accepted the other one and just ran around like she didn't notice the difference...

Is this normal? They are about 20 days OOP. They are 34 and 35g and have always been 1 gram apart. They have been steadily gaining about 1 gram a day since they were born, so I am not worried with neglect of one. But could Aeneas just have a liking to the other one more and maybe he would have accepted her instead?

Sometimes the adults want to play and eat and not have to worry about their little ones. Does he come when they cry? My oldest boy would always come check on his joeys when they cried and then run over and push them off in my lap like "Your turn to watch them!!!" I think play time more than being in the cage, some adults are just like that.

Yeah he goes to them when they cry and randomly comes over to peek in and look at them.

My male just refuses to help with baby Mariah. He would rather run around with his twin boys who are 5 months old. And they won't help Momma either. So I take Mariah and hold her and give her some food so Momma can get a break and run around and eat. She just turned 4 weeks oop.

Some of my gliders refuse to let their joeys ride on their back. I think it's one of those things that just varies from glider to glider...

As long as he is being a good daddy by checking on them when they cry I would not worry to much on the fact that he does not like carrying them around.
