Hi guys,I am very new to this and have been reading the sad horror stories of all the glider qwners and felt compelled to turn in my story. I had gotten a yo-yo for Christmas (even though I'm 30+ yrs old) and my husband had been showing me his talents with it. When he was done he laid it on Grouchies cage without thinking about it. I briefly thought to move it and didn't. Well, I paid the price (and so did Grouch) for not listening to my inner objections! When I woke up the next morning the string was wrapped all aaround the branches in his cage and went into his nesting box! I woke my husband up to get his help and we cut the string to get his box out to look at him. The string was wound so tightly around his tail (luckily his tait and not his neck) that it was down to BONE! He was really good at letting us remove the string but I just lost it (like I am now) because I felt like the worst mother in the world! The vet amputated the end of his tail. Please, Please, Please!! Don't let this happen to any of you. It was a costly mistake I'll never forget!
