My two 6 month old babies suddenly became lethargic, stopped drinking/eating and appear ‘wet’ 4 days ago. I found them like this around 2pm Monday. They were barely able to hold up their heads and were dragging their back legs; body temp COLD, very disoriented, no solid poops. I put a portable heater next to their cage, and have been giving them a purée mix of peaches, no sugar apple sauce, with a bit of honey and pedialite mixed in; I’ve been waking them up every 2 to 3 hours so they move around and eat. Today I held off on the pedialite and put purified water in the mix instead. They eat a little bit but not drinking water from their bottle. They are still disoriented, but no longer dragging their back legs. Fur is wet looking still but is actually dry and ‘crunchy’. Not crabbing when picked up, but squirmy when held. Sleeping all the time except for about 10 minutes when I wake them up. They are brothers from same parents, same ages and no issues prior to Monday. Please advise. Thank you.

You need to get your boys to the vet ASAP.
Are you sure your water bottle is working? Dehydration will kill a glider in less than 24 hours.
What are you feeding them.

They need a vet asap please!
They need your body heat. Put pouch next to your skin. If their fur is wet especially.
They need fluids / wet fruits to keep hydrated.
Always keep a fresh daily open water source in their cage when using water bottles.
Please register so we can keep track of your progress.
How are the boys doing?

What wet fruits do you suggest? Both boys, Bill and Ted, ate and were somewhat active- out of pouch crawling around, several times throughout the night last night, on their own without me having to wake them up , they also have been grooming because their fur doesn’t appear ‘wet’ this morning. This is a lot of improvement compared to the last three days. Also, I see solid poops around in their cage which is also good.
Is it possible that too many veggies (because of the fiber) could have dehydrated them? Twice last week they had a blend of carrots, bell pepper and cucumber purée for their main meals- this was on Thursday and Friday; then again on Sunday. They really loved the mix, but could it have been too much fiber? I did not notice an excessive amount of poops last week though.
Which calcium and or vitamin supplements do you suggest?

You need to get them on an approved diet, such as Critterlove. You can find out more at Critterlove.com.

Do not puree their fruits and vegetables, it forces them to eat the insoluable fibers and it can cause constipation.
