She needs to see a veterinarian ASAP. Have you checked her for dehydration? Is she cold? Does she have buddies? If so hang a few more pouches in the cage, she might just want to sleep alone.

Took her to the vet. They said she's hydrated and glucose levels are good. They weren't able to do bloodwork since they didn't have the proper staff. I am going to contact her regular vet about that portion. Other than that everything was within normal range. I did put an extra pouch in there but Ava just follows her around and cuddles with her.

I would get her in for a fecal, including Giardia, and have them check for a UTI. Make sure your water bottle is working and provide them with a little ramekin size open water source. Dehydration is a symptom and can kill a glider in less than 24 hours. Open water source is important if you are feeding a kibble based diet.

It's me again. The original poster, not the other person. Penelope got better after the vets had no answers for me. I fed them a small amount of pumpkin and she was good as new.. but we have encountered a new problem. Penelope now has an open wound on her tail. No idea where it came from, wasn't there yesterday. Ava started licking at it so I have them separated. Questions are how do I treat that when Penelope doesn't want me near her? Next, They aren't going to kill themselves because they're not together, right? I've put the cages next to each other as best as I can. Three, I've tried contacting the breeder when Penelope was first ill (which I'm supposed to do per the contract I signed with the breeder) she has yet to contact me back and from the looks of it may have stopped breeding. I'm about at my wits end with my poor babies and fear I can't keep them much longer as I'm about to have a baby in a month. What do I do? Thank you for all the help. Someone can email me at mkobe215@outlook.com. I can respond quicker since I'll get notified on my phone.

I'm sorry you're having so much trouble. If you join the forum and create a log in, you can get private messages here. You can also get email notifications of the PMs. We can also keep track of you your gliders, and your journey. Once you join, you can have full access finding information and reading other posts. This forum is full of great information. When separating a pair of gliders make sure they have safe toys to play with, a glider safe wheel, and foraging too. Have you had tent time or bathroom time with them regularly? This helps them bond with you and gives them more enrichment. When gliders don't feel well, they can get grouchy (like humans), but as long as you keep at treatment, they will learn to tolerate you. As far as treatment, vetracyn spray will help with healing of the tail. I would use under the guidance of your exotic vet.
Dawn Be patient, and Trust your journey.... Grace Stewie Ruby Mom Dad Fiona and Dot Love and miss you both!
