I have a 1 1/2 yr old glider we adopted as an owner surrender. She’s still bonding to slowly but surely however tonight I’ve noticed her making almost a coughing sound. She doesn’t seem to have any other issues but is coughing. We haven’t changed her diet any or used chemical or anything around her...

Coughing or sneezing?

Is she eating?

Any other change in behavior?

Please take a few moments to register in order that you may take full advantage of our forums. This thread will be moved to our Health & Hygiene Forum, and you will need to be registered in order to post in that forum.

Gliders groom themselves by spitting in their hands and then washing themselves. Sometimes this can be mistaken for a sneeze or possibly a cough if you are not familiar with what they are doing. Could this be what she was doing?

If you are sure this was not the case, then a vet check would be in order to rule out any illness.

You will be able to read this thread, however, please register so you may post with further updates. Look forward to hearing from you.
