You will find most here recommend the Critterlove diets. My four gliders love it and are happy and healthy. Other considerations if you are new are to make sure your cage is big enough, that they have enough toys, and that you are working on bonding once they get settled. Oh, and we always like pics.

Hi and welcome to GC!!! What diet do you have them on now? I have fed BML, OHPW and Critter Love both complete and plus. Both with the recommended fresh salads. If you click on the blue words like diet it will take you to more on that topic .

Welcome to GliderCENTRAL!! Critterlove is a great diet! It has been tested and continues to be tested with blood work from gliders that have been on it. It offers the gliders a wide variety of fruits and vegetables with the five salad mixtures.

Unless they are young (and smaller) it is hard to tell how old a glider is.

You can't go by that either. The pair of gliders that came in to my rescue last night are smaller than my 10 week old joeys.

Hello guys I am back, took the boys to vet and everything is GREAT - still a bit to young to nueter - I now have 2 of the 3 boys taking treats out of my hands (yayaya) Question - can I add a little yoguirt in with the HPW complete - or like applesauce or something - one of my boys is very finicky and I was hoping by adding one of these two things it will help him eat it - the get their veggies and fruits every day - along with some mealworms (2 to 3 days) eggs and protien - advice????

I thought the HPW complete had honey in it. Where do you get it from?

If you have the Exotic Nutrition Instant HPW, it isn't good for gliders. There have been several gliders that have died eating it. What you want is Critterlove Complete, it freezes solid so you have to freeze it in ice cube trays. Check out the Critterlove diets here: Critterlove.com

If you click on the blue word diet it will take you to a database to show you a list of of diets. Any words in blue will either take you to a database or more topics on that subject. Critterlove is a form of HPW and has a list of 5 different salad combinations you can make and freeze. The BML diet is also proven too. The ingredients can be found at the grocery store and the vitamins at the pet store. Please don't panic if you are giving exotic nutrition, but please find a better diet. We can help you.

Critterlove complete is just add water.
The salad mix along with the CL complete is the perfect calcium to phosphorus ratio so no "sprinkles are needed. You can order a sample size if you want to just try it.
I have both the complete and the CL plus. I use the complete when I'm too lazy to put all the ingredients together for the plus, and for emergency situations like evacuation, vacation, trips, etc.

You never know what drift wood has been exposed too, whereas cork bark is washed as it is sold for reptiles too.

I have to agree with Feather. Some woods are toxic, and I would be more concerned with where it's been and exposed to also. Cholla wood is also safe.

awesome thank you guys - so the cork bark on amazon is ok? Yes it is. Be sure to boil and scrub it no matter where you get it from. Gotta get the black stuff off.
