We have a change in glider government.

Queen Dot has been Overthrown by King Stewie!!!

He is now commander and chief...

It came about by who was the strongest, the fastest, the one with the most compassion, courage, and heart.

No war broke out, but there were small skirmishes, and long debates as to who was the best ruler.

Now, they did try to vote, but since there are still only two, they voted for themselves and there was no tiebreaker... Fiona, who still lives in another village(cage), will not choose between them. She loves and respects them both equally, but may be forced to choose... Or be torn in two...

It is unclear at this point whether Dot will try to regain her 4.5 year rein when Fiona arrives home. The dust hasn't settled enough for Fiona's safety.... At this point, she has spoken to both king and queen and decided that her Hooman companions who are neutral as to who resides on the thrown will continue to be her full-time companions....

So long to short, Dot at this point is no longer the alpha... Stewie rules the food, pouch and cage... She's doing fine. Not much fighting... Stewie on the other hand is on

Congrats to Stewie. Hopefully he will be a benevolent ruler and Fiona can rejoin them soon.

Yeah, he's always had that "I'm gonna be boss one day" additude.

He definitely struts his stuff...

Dot and Stewie have visited the outside of Fiona's cage several times. Right now it's a matter of marking, over marking someone else.

Night before last, I brought Dot and Stewie to the living room for supervised out of cage play.. Fiona wasn't up yet. They jumped and glided, smelled around a bunch. Stewie decided he wanted Fiona needed to be up...


So, I pause...

Put this thought in your head:
Do you know how a prisioner will rake his tin cup across the bars to get the jailer's attention???

Well guess what Stewie did? I heard this "thrumming" sound. When I found it, it was Stewie. He had a firm hold of the bars of Fiona's cage practically spread eagle and was raking his cloatia junk across the bars with all his might... Back and forth, back and forth...(I cannot make this stuff up). I'm looking at him with my jaw on the ground and no phone to take a pic in my hand...

A few seconds later there's Dot near Stewie (again a prisioner scene) had a hold of the bars just like Stewie, and tried to shake the bars loose using her entire body...

Fiona has her head stuck out of her pouch just watching the comotion...

I just don't know what to do...

Is Fiona healed up?

Yes she is!!! However she is over grooming... The wound looks like a fur penensula with a sea of bald all the way around each side and bottom. I've been working a little on intros. Fiona and Stewie do fine. All Dot wants to do is climb on her back or pin her down in the cage... Fiona(97gr) fights back, but Dot(154gr) has 57 grams on her and always wins.

She gets to visit through the cage bars only. It's helping her scratching and the fur is gradually comming in. Dot has tried grooming the bald spots. Stewie could care less. I should update her wound post...

Well, Dot didn't go down without a few fights. In 2 nights, I woke up 3 times to them balling up. The third night, Dot was in heat and the extra push had her pretty much back in charge .

Stewie in the meantime decided to move in with Fiona... Fiona seems to be fine with Stewie

So far so good! We are on night 3

So now Dot is a queen of her cage... So far she seems to be doing well.. She doesn't seem to miss either glider. She's getting her nails clipped tomorrow. We'll see how receptive she is to being handled... In the past, it wasn't good.

Ah, the young and the restless saga continues

I would definitely watch a sitcom or drama about your gliders.

It is tempting!!!

Fiona and Stewie had a slapping contest last night...

Fiona got her mealworm and ran off. Stewie got his next and just sat in place. Fiona came back for another mealie and decided she wanted Stewie's. So she slapped his face and he swallowed the rest of his mealie whole all the while I'm scolding Fiona because we don't steal. Stewie reared back and slapped Fiona a few times. This just went back and forth. Hubby and I are standing their slack jawed... Finally I came to my senses enough to holler "Here!, here!!! Fiona come get your mealie" . She grabbed it and scampered off happy as can be. Stewie waited his turn and sat there and ate peacefully.

As Fiona approached again, I reminded her "We don't steal food"... And she turned on the charm crawling all sassy like, tail straight in the air. Came and got her last mealie and pranced off... . My gray hairs are getting thicker. Lol!

OMG! My guys and gals are now peaceful! I gave up on getting one cage for all. They spend their evenings chatting each other up but no way will they cohabitate-at least one of them anyway! Your guys are hilarious or you need to be a comedy writer!

My gliders never seem to grasp the concept that they are all going to get a treat. Gotta grab it out of the mouth of whoever got it first.
