I use Army men, barrel of monkeys, cork, fleece pompoms, a untreated branch from my red bud tree (insectcide free). Cork you can get at a pet store, and if they are destructive, will have a blast shredding it. Make sure to boil it, scrub it and clean it well. Are they chewing on toys or on the pouch? I keep lots of 4" square fleece blankies in their pouch to cuddle with. They like to make it comfy.

I wash and provide used straws from my fast food meals, soft plastic tabs from milk jugs, and twigs from safe trees. I've found mine like to chew on all of the above from time to time and they like to bring them into their pouches.

The blankies will help in the pouch.
As far as fingers and skin, make sure to use a nonscented soap. They are either curious or you smell delicious.
You can follow a nip with a " Ssst, Tsk, or a ssshhhh". In glider talk it means I don't like what you're doing.
If you have a scab, mole or freckle, they may try to take it off.
