My sugar glider Ethel was fine all last night throughout the night and today she has been somewhat lethargic. She has eaten a little and very little water. I noticed today she will make a hissing noise and not a crabbing noise. She wont go in her pouch to sleep and she has been up all day long. When she does have movement its very slow. She still climbs some and i have been in to check on her multiple times and have to touch her to make sure she is still alive. She did eat a yogurt drop and some applesauce today but thats it. I dont know what else to do for her. I have looked up all the possibilities and just arent really sure if its calcium deficiency or not. Please help..

A vet is really the best option for her to find out what wrong. But the hissing is it when she drying to go potty ? If so it can be she constipated or even a uti.( can try giving her some pumpkin to help her go ( if she will eat it) but the uti would be a vet trip still..

She doesnt hiss til i touch her. Yesterday she was still moving around but eating very little. I stayed up with her til around 2am and then my husband was up with her for a few hours. She drank a little bit of water then. But when I got up this morning to let the dogs out i checked on her and she wasnt moving at all but was still breathing. She wont move but will still hiss at me if i touch her. My husband placed her back in her pouch around 5am and she managed to crawl out of it at some time because when i found her she was not inside of it anymore. My husband picked her up and wrapped his tshirt that smells like him around her because she was cold to touch. She will blink when you touch her head. I tried to get her to take some water but she wont take it. My husband is on his way to take her to our vet which also treats exotic pets. Im fearful she is too sick to recover but still hopeful she will recover. Please pray for her. I dont want her to suffer..

She needs vet ASAP. Put her in a pouch, put it under your shirt to warm her up and keep her warm.

Offer her juicy fruits and a little honey.

I can't stress how important it is to get her to the vet.

My husband is at the vet with her now. We wrapped her up. I tried giving her honey and fruit but she wouldnt touch it. She sniffed it but didnt want it.

Oh my, I hope she is okay!

Unfortunately we lost our Ethel this evening. She held on for as long as she could. The vet was awesome with her and he took very good care of her. When her heart stopped he performed CPR on her and got her back but she was tired and so was her heart. The vet says it may have been a virus. Whatever it was it did a number on her within a day. Continue to pray for our family as I am heartbroken.
