Hey guys, I've been doing some research on suggie toys and heard of a game called Barrel Full of Monkeys. I never heard of it and don't recall seeing one in a Malaysian store. EVER. Did some digging on Lazada (Malaysian online store) and found something similar... Falling Monkeys Game. Is this safe for sugar gliders? If it is, how can I use it? Do I put the tree with sticks on the bottom of the cage and hang the monkeys on the top of the cage?

So I I googled this game and I am concerned about the size.
The tower has to to be 2.5 inches (6.35 cm) minimum inside diameter, and the openings at the bottom have to be at least 2 inches tall and 3 " wide or more to keep the glider from getting trapped. Its hard to tell how big the openings are for the sticks, but keep in mind the toes might get stuck or snagged too. I have never seen this game, so I'm not a good judge of size, but if it were me, I might find something else.
The little monkeys themselves are really cute, and can hang through out the cage. The sticks are also a hazard if they are sharp.
You should also keep in mind the size your glider will grow to. I know in some countries gliders are extra fluffy (a little fat).

Ok, I'll take note of that. My cousin has the game so I may be able to measure it. If it's small and hazardous I'll not use it and i can try to convince my cousin to gimme some of the monkeys if they aren't dangerous as well.

Dawn, several years ago these were all the rage with suggie owners and were relatively easy to find in all the Dollar Stores. Plus you could find Barrel of Bunnies around Easter.
Yep I had quite a few of each I bought for different things we had both here and just recently sent them all to Shelly for her Sugar Glider Foundation to help decorate those suggie cages plus raise money.
They would be hung in the cage arm in arm and then the suggies would take them apart dropping most of them to the bottom of the cage. Fun for the suggies for sure. Not sure how the suggie slaves felt about picking them up every morning
You can also get the plastic bangle bracelets and put them in the cage, if you find them in the sleeping pouch in the morning you have tail carriers.

Stewie will sit in the top of his sleeping pouch and take what ever I give him: army men, monkeys, small soft spikey balls, bracelets, split milk ring seals. He will tuck them special in place. The girls tolerate them.
I don't play with like that as often as I should.
He's a tail carrier only when he's in the mood. If the girls kick him out of the pouch, he will carry at least one bracelet into his own pouch. I have them hanging on a chain like a pulley. It keeps him busy because he wants both ends in his pouch.
Some gliders have to get used to new things in their cage. I have learned the worse thing you can do is give up and take it out. Some gliders just need time to figure things out.
