Cheat Night definition:
A night where you may feed something special or extra above and beyond their normal diet. We (as humans) all have at least one cheat night don't we?

So, here is what I do:

1. I try to have at least 2 days a month, sometimes once a week.

2. Sometimes. It depends on what I give them.

3. Chicken or turkey neck(only 1 veritbra each, a scrambled egg, chicken wing tip, or half a turkey wing tip each,(some do chicken feet. Ugh, not me!) Cheerios, rice or corn chex, yogurt left overs with cup cut in two. I want to find a recipe for glider meatballs...

Cheat Night

1. How often do you have cheat night?My guys get cheat night on Thanksgiving and Christmas when we make a turkey. Sometimes during the year if we have chicken, but not very often.

2. On cheat night do you cut back on their staple or salads? On cheat night they don't get their staple and they get about half the normal amount of salad, as they get sweet potato and a little pie.

3. What are some of the things you give on cheat night?
Turkey or Chicken, sweet potatoes, squash, stuffing, pie.

Connie Small does the Mac and cheese and she says they eat like its their last meal.

I do a cheat night here and there. No particular schedule, but never two weeks in a row. The "junk" food of choice (for me) is scrambled egg. It will replace the staple protein source (CL), still serve regular f/v. I do sometimes offer vanilla yogurt mixed with honey, but that's really nothing they get too excited about, that's more to stretch out the nectar formula.

I had not thought of a cheat night and always (at least once I found out what a good diet required) only feed them their diet. But now, that sounds like a neat idea!

Ooooh I don't think hubby will share his M and C.... But then again, he has shared his peanut butter sandwich, or rather Fiona ripped a small piece off and ran. He didn't seem to mind.

Yeah, mine will try to food-grab sometimes, too. Afterall, if it's good enough for me, it must belong to them, right?

I remember years ago when I just had my first three, I went to the company picnic and was in the process of eating a cherry tomato and Zoey just popped up latched on to my cherry tomato and back down into the pouch she went.

I didn't get my tomato back!

Tonight is cheat night! It will be yogurt and chicken!
