Hey all, i have 2 female approximately 3 months old gliders. I have been feeding them HPW along with some fruits as snacks.

My question is how much in terms millilitres ( ml ) of HPW should i feed them ?

Eevee is 26g and marmalade is 16g.

How many ml should each of them get per day.

Also whats the ratio for HPW and water ?

Where is the HPW from? Is it from Critter Love?

Is it complete, or do you add honey, bee pollen and?

It should have measurements on package.

15ml equals 1 tablespoon.

Usually HPW is fed 1 tablespoon per glider, or 15ml per glider.

Are you sure about their weight? They are usually around 35-45gr or more for a very young Joey that has been weaned from Mom.

The HPW is a complete diet. Sometimes i add a little goats milk to the mix.

Yes i wnet to the vet just a few days ago and one of the joey is just 16g.

So it is still 1 tablespoon of HPW per glider though they are just 3months old?

They may not eat it all, and you can feed less if they aren't cleaning their dish. As they grow, increase their serving up to 1tablespoon per glider.

What fruits and vegetables are you serving with their HPW? They should also have 2 tablespoons each offered.

Is your HPW from Exotic Nutrition?

I tried giving them other fruits besides apple but only the smaller one ( marmalade ) likes the apple.

Eevee the fatter ones doesnt seem to want to bite it so ill just make it as juice and feed her

Ladymagyer/Dawn is correct. Did the person you got your gliders from tell you how old they are in weeks? They seem to be so very young to be away from their mom.



Please keep us updated on these two, and you should weigh them daily at the same time keeping a chart of their weights.

I may be mistaken but I thought our gliders are (semi) lactose intolerant. I would guess the goat milk would do harm aside from the fact that I have learned to stay strictly to the diet as described and check the source.

Are you referring to the Exotic Nutrition Instant HPW?

If so the Instant HPW was analyzed and it was found that what is in the bag, does not match the nutrients and ingredients found printed on the bag and they tested it twice.

Please don't feed that, go with the best on the market, Critterlove.

The problem is I am from Malaysia and i dont think it would be easy or affordable for me to get it from critter love as i have just checked, the shipping alone would cost me a bomb.

However, i am searching for alternatives.

Hey guys ! Just an update. Both my gliders are doing amazing now and are of a healthy weight now.

However, Can sugar gliders eat thyme ?

As i plan to boil some chicken meat for them and i thought of either boiling the thyme along with the chicken or just mince the thyme and sprinkle it over the chicken.

So no putting thyme at all ?

What about parsley or basil ?

I wouldn't. I'm not sure I'd either of those spices would have a chemical change once cooked. It could give them gastric issues.

I have a sugar glider cook book from Chris Hammann. I will page through it and see what else is safe for them.

I know a couple recipes in the book call for Cinnamon.
