Spencer died 12/1/17 of natural causes. He was almost 11 years old. He was the best glider EVER and I know many of you remember his story. Much of it is still here. I picked up his ashes from the crematorium today. This glider impacted me in a way that no other has. Many people learned from Spencer and his mutilation issues in his early life. He left his partner Stretch of 7 years. Stretch is 14. It has taken me awhile to post here, too hard to see through the tears. Thank you all so much for the help through his journey. He is gone but never forgotten.

Cora, you have my deepest sympathy on the loss of Spencer. I know how you feel, my heart still hurts for Tucker.

It seems like all the famous gliders are gone now, Spencer, Buddy, Tucker and Jackie Chan.

May you find comfort and peace in your memories of Spencer.

ty y'all so much. I miss him so much, its like losing a child. the boy lived on me most of his life. sometimes i just break down and cry even after 20 days, I am lost without him. yes I have many other gliders but Spencer was my special boy. I loved him so much. Only man that never disappointed me and I will never get over him. I am glad his journey started and ended here at Glider Central. maryh, you take care of our boy. I miss you every day. I still have your gliders and love them.

Sorry for loss of Spencer, I always followed his journey and was always crossing fingers about his sm would go away.


I am still in a darkness with Buddy passing just over three weeks ago. He was my glider spirit and child. Haven't carried a glider since he left us. I break down and cry too...

It is amazing how these little marsupials mark our hearts, there are always the special ones, the ones that can never be replaced. I still cry too, its ok but I also remember all the good stuff, Spencer and Buddy were two in a million. Spencer stopped mutilating 5 years or so ago when his bottom incisors were removed allowing him to heal and he never tried it again. He lived collar/jacket free for many years. I hope to write Spennys story from beginning to end someday. I started carrying Charlotte in my bra 2 years ago. Spencer would rather be in a pouch, lol She does not fill the void but she has been good therapy. Thank You all so much for the comments, y'all are the best. Glider People ROCK

I'm so sorry, Cora. I remember all you went through with him. It's so difficult losing any of them, but some, that you go through so much, and your bond is so close...it's a little different somehow. Huge hugs to you.
