Hey everyone! It's been a while since having any gliders but many many years since being on the site (with a different name I can't even remember). My husband and I were talking of getting a pair of gliders due to my love. I'm trying to freshen up and get back up to date with info first. (I'm a little sad with how slow the site seems compared to 10+ years ago.... Maybe 15…). It doesn't seem as though BML is as hot as it was back then. While I see it is still recommended/approved, I see more people doing Critter Love (HPW??). I can't seem to get myself in the right direction to find more information about it though or the "salads" that go with it. Can someone point me in the right direction? Can you tell me what diet you feed?! I need to figure this all out before we make our final decisions. Thank you!

Hey there Rosa! I personally recommend a laboratory tested and approved diet such as Critter Love®. Critter Love® to date is the most extensively tested sugar glider diet plan on the market (and recommended) today. We not only have our food products laboratory tested, we also have our animals that consume the products tested to make certain we have the best product we are able to have for our furry loved pets. When one of our staples are fed alongside one of the Critter Love® salads, whether you make one from the recipes yourself, or if you purchase a freeze dried salad blend, you can be assured you are feeding a well balanced and nutritious diet plan. We are so sure you and your gliders will like it, we send out free samples so you can try before you buy. You can find those here: https://www.critterlove.com/store/p149/Critter_Love%C2%AE_Samples.html As for the Salads you also have options: One, you can make your own by following on the recipes that were put together by an experienced exotic animal nutritionist to specifically go with our staple products. You will need a gram scale in order to weigh the ingredients out to put in the salad, but it will allow you to have a 'balanced and nutritious' salad mixture. You can find those here: https://www.critterlove.com/salad-mixtures.htmlOr if you do not wish to shop/chop/freeze you can go with a freeze-dried option. Measure, add water to rehydrate, and serve. if you have any questions, feel free to email me at critterlove@critterlove.com

Again! I wasn't here when you were, been a member I believe since sometime in 2012. I feed CL diet, CLO currently. I just recently lost one of my girls (RIP Lulu), so may go back to CLC when I'm ready to reorder supplements. Always been a fan of CL diets (formerly HPW diets) since I first looked into them.
Lives with: 1 God 1 dog, (Willow) 1 Sugie, (Ollie) R.I.P. Lulu (2/28/12-10/13/17) R.I.P. Skadoosh (2/28/12-3/26/18)

There are substitutions for certain vegs. When I started this siet, I printed all the salad recipes, took took them to the grocery store to see which recipe I could use with the availability at my store. I live in a town of 12,000. With only 2 different grocery chains. I struggled to find a recipe I could use at first.
Some items like dandelion greens(back yard where they grow wild, no chemicals) aren't available all year round. Never found water cress.
