I rescued a very sick 2 y.o. female glider and she is slowly making a recovery, but it will be a process. She is currently at 45g and has no bottom teeth and malformed lower jaw (chronic poor diet which stunted her development) and an altered gait. I have a small colony of 2 girls and 1 male (neutered) and would love to eventually have her join them. Have there been successful introductions of a 'special' glider into an established colony? Or will they always pick on her as she is likely to stay small and different in her movements?

You can start pouch swapping, but you will have to wait until she is much stronger as right now she isn't strong enough to hold her own with them.
I usually put gliders like that in with like gliders or geriatric gliders.

That is what I was thinking as well, but I don't have the experience to know for sure! I will try to pouch swap and try to introduce once she is healthier, as I would love for her to eventually not be alone. But if that doesn't work I will try to adopt a lone senior or other 'special needs' glider!
