IMPORTANT! It has come to our attention that there is a potential defect in the black Stealth Freedom wheels that we got in the second batch. We have been shipping wheels from this batch since October 16th. This defect is only in the black wheels.
I say potential defect because some of them came out of the mold without problems, others didn’t. There are 4 seams in the wheel. When they were being formed in the machine, some of the seams didn’t bond correctly. If these seams are twisted, they could break and be a safety hazard.
We have already notified the manufacturer and they are starting the process to make us a new batch. As soon as this issue has been resolved, we will ship out a new wheel portion of black Freedom wheels to everyone who we shipped to during this time. Please keep your stand and hardware. We are also pulling them off the website until this issue is resolved.
In the meantime, if you have a black Freedom Wheel that was shipped on or after October 16th, please remove it from your cage and thoroughly examine it. If you even suspect that it is not right, do not put it back in. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
We will be contacting everyone by email but we want to put it out here also. If you have one of these wheels, and you don’t hear from us in the next couple of days please contact us.
