Well, looks like it's our turn... Sort of...
After Irma, I don't really trust the weather guys... But we will hunker down here near Jackson, MS. We are within 30' of a storm shelter so we are fine... This one so far is a baby compared to the other two, just wanted to let you guys know in case we lose power...
I have the girls evacuation kit packed and ready to go just in case. It's a bit unerving.
We are in our 5th wheel RV. The winds in Kansas, Nebraska, and West Texas are a lot stronger. 50-70mph.We kinda feel like we are riding a kite...

Yes, this global warming that doesn't exist for some  is certainly wreaking havoc on many this hurricane season.
I have been watching the progress of Nate.

Oh no! Stay safe! I'll be praying for you all down there, and am also glad it's not up to a 3 or 4, but any hurricane isn't good, and will wreak. Please don't take it lightly. I'm sorry you arent home this weekend instead of next!

Oh my, guess Ive been under a rock I hadn't heard of another hurricane until now. I truly hope this one isn't as bad as the previous ones that came through. Yeah there's no such thing as global warming huh  Do stay safe and head to that shelter if things worsen. Keepin you in my thoughts.

Thank you for your happy thoughts! It's 4:30 am, and tropical storm Nate took a hard right. We didn't even get a breeze out of this. A few sprinkles so far, and high humidity (nothing new here). We do feel lucky so far...

Glad to hear we Only heard of it while in Florida and then by then it was out in the gulf and I was like cool maybe this trip might get interesting lol. Glad it was a fart in the wind for most
