I have dog named Willow, and she's such a great dog, going on 9yrs old, although I do not know her exact birthday. She's a rescue that I adopted on 4th of July 2009, and was told she's approximately 6mos old at the time. Anyway, she's still very playful and energetic, she's great with people and other animals, wants to be friends with everyone! She even made friends with a little fox kit once.
Anyway, I just wanted to talk about her a little. I talk about my other fur-babies so much here (obviously, a SG forum), but I felt like sharing about my Willow. She's awesome!
I hope to get a pic of her up on here soon, and continue sharing about her from time to time.
I don't have dogs anymore, lost my last Dalmatian in 2000 a month past her 16th birthday.
I do have parrots and a guinea pig (Piglet).

So my Willow had to go to the vets on Tuesday. She started Monday evening looking like she was having a hard time getting up from laying down, and at time like she was having trouble, most likely due to pain or discomfort getting up and down, she wasn't her spunky self. I gave her coated aspirin that night and again Tuesday am, but left work early to take her to vets to get checked out.
It seems she most likely pulled something, they gave me pills for her to relieve pain and for inflammation, they said like ibruprofrin for dogs. She had a dose Tuesday & Wednesday night, yesterday she seemed more like normal, but I was going to give her a dose, just incase, but I got sidetracked and forgot it. Today she was completely back to herself still, so I'm still going to restrict her jumping up in chair or bed for a few more days, but let stair restrictions off and not give her meds unless I see symptoms return.
Lol, that happens a lot to me too, at least it made sense. She is around 8 1/2. She was 6 mo old approximately when we adopted her in July if 09 (4th). She was a rescue, so don't know exact birthday.
Yes Dawn, thank you for asking about her. Willow is back to her puppy-like self. And she is so loving this cooler weather, well, except when it rains, she hates rain any time of year, lol.
BTW, when I refer to her being puppy like, I mean her energy and playness level, she's a very well behaved dog 98% of the time, but still gets puppy-crazies here and there, and she's playful much of the time.
