I've been researching gliders for a while now, and would really love to have one. I want to list my work schedule just so I get some opinions in order to see if my capabilities are appropriate according to those who have more experience.
Monday's, Thursday's, and Friday's I work 1pm-9pm. I would be able to spend time with the babe before my shift for at least a few hours, and after the shift around 9:15Pm until whenever I sleep.
Tuesday and wednesday I work 9AM-5PM, so i would spend time with the babe after work for HOURS!
Weekends I have off and could spend whatever amount of time necessary.
Do you think my schedule is appropriate enough to take on this responsibility? Please let me know ASAP!!

to Glider Central!!! Please take a moment to register, but in the meantime I will answer your question. Your schedule today may change in the next 10-15 years of a sugar glider lifespan. Evenings are better than midday unless you have them in a bonding pouch so they may sleep. They are nocturnal and will sleep 18-22 hours off and on a day, with deepest sleep done during the day. There are many other things to consider, and we would love to help, so sign up and we can keep track of your concerns and progress
Dawn Be patient, and Trust your journey.... Grace Ruby Mom Fiona, Dot, Stewie and Dad Wish I could turn back time... Miss you all...

Anon, For what its worth, mine have had to put-up with my crazy schedule & have come through fine. (Though, man, have I worried about them.) Yours doesn't seem so bad to me (personally), so I believe as far as that goes that you'll be fine. As I'm sure you've found in your research, there quite a bit more to deciding if these critters would be a good fit, but if you have any more questions, just ask! As Dawn said, it's easier if you register so we can follow conversations better & have a name to go with the questions
