Hello parents,

I feed my gliders the Pet glider fresh diet (my friend is a chef and prepares it for me and freezes them in cups) and noticed that they still haven't been eating much and they are 3 months old.

Today when I put in a new No mess station that has a lot more room than my previous one. When I put the food dish into the feeding station, a few minutes later I seen one trying to flip it over with it's nose. I stopped it before it happened because that would be not a fun mess to clean, but none of them did it again yet.

Do you think they were just curious and messing about or do you think they just really hate the food? They eat it I know that, just not the whole thing yet and I put in 1.2oz everyday.

Thanks for any feedback.

The new station might smell different to them and they might have been checking it out.

I assume you are feeding The Pet Glider (also known as TPG)diet?

How long have you fed this? Have you checked to make sure they aren't hulling in the veggies? Or suckling the fruits?

Do you have a means to weigh their dish before and after they eat?

The only other option is take away treats for a fee days.

Please keep us posted.

I think this was definitely one of the reasons

yes it's a pet glider fresh diet ( I can find and link the diet if you want)

they've been fed this since they were off the teet I think and eat the whole fruit in the dish when i serve it. I got them at 9 weeks, but that's what the breeder friend feeds his gliders. ( his gliders are the mom and dad)

Yes I weight it out on a scale whenever I feed them the TPGF, but don't weight the dish after. I think i should start if they don't start eating more.

I think it came down the feeding station being new and that Mungo was up and wide awake and hyper, and just being a stinker. he just did it that once time from what I saw, but I didn't awake to food all over the floor so I think I'm ok on that.

After I posted this, I've actually seen them eating from the dish and ate a good portion of the food so I'm happy the food progress is getting better!

Yay! Mine went through this too when they were less than a year old. It might be a phase, of growing, weather and moon phases affect them too. I had them to the vet many times. For lots of things during their first 1.5 years. I thought I was gonna go out of my mind...

I've only had my girls for a short time and on BML, but some days I wake up and all they ate was a bite of fruit. Then I go back the next morning and the plate is licked clean. Unless it's consistently happening (and check if they are hulling the fruit/veggies) I just continue giving the same amount and they get a treat every morning if they come see me.
