What does everyone use for the litter pan at the bottom for cage bedding? I use something I get from my local exotic pet store called Better Bedding. It's like pellets made out of newspaper or something. Seems to be highly absorbent and I get like a 20 lb bag for around $20 I think. I was changing it weekly but realized with me spot cleaning it daily to get out any thrown around veggies or fruit I can probably get away with every two weeks. There's only two gliders at the moment so.

I don't use anything, just wash them out once or twice a week. It might gross some people out but I do this in the kitchen sink and run it down the disposal.

When I am done, I use Soft Scrub with bleach to clean the sinks.

I clean similar to Feather. We don't use anything in the tray at the time. When they need cleaned if it's nice out I will take the trays outside and clean them off using the hose sprayer and cleaner. I just let the food and poo mess wash off into the garden. If needed I have an old spatula that can help scrape off any dried gunk stuck on it. In the winter I will use the spatula to push all the solid mater to the corner of the tray and into the trash bin. Then I will clean it in our stand up shower that has a removable shower head and use that for spraying off and cleaning. After that I just give the shower floor a quick cleaning. I use to do this with the regular shower head and just keep moving the trays under the stream, but bought the hose type just for this purpose but it's kinda a bonus because it's a nice head to use for people showering too

Lol, it's not gross. Here is our nightly schedule before I give them their food. My BF or me take them out of the pouch and into the bathroom and have them in our hands above the bathroom sink. I'm like "It's poopy time! Time to go poops n peeps!" Lilo will sit in your hand and begin pooping almost immediately. We hold up her tail so the poop falls out into the bathroom sink. Sometimes she'll pee on your hand, but what she prefers to do is be on my BF's shoulder and pee on it. Lol. Kara on the other hand holds it in and stealth poops. Her pooping isn't predictable like Lilo's. She be in your hand, no poops are happening, and then all of a sudden a poop will appear in your hand. :-b Same with her peeing.

I like the bedding I use because it totally soaks up the pooh and pee and the pooh blends in with the pellets so it doesn't look messy. The only problem I have with it is that Lilo seems to like to chew on it. She reach down between the bars and pulls up a bedding pellet and starts eating it or something. She kept doing this last night. I'm like "No Lilo, no!" She'd drop it then pick up another piece. It's not like they're not eating and don't have food. Last night she also hopped out of the catch onto my arms and was doing little bites on my arms and running up and down it. Silly Lilo.

I put the big tray below my cage so it catches anything that falls out, but they can't reach it afterwards. That I wipe out and down once a week. Inside their cAge they have metal grate on the bottom, and 2 plastic shelves in the cage at different points. Those I wipe down every few days. I do notice some discoloration from the water drips under the bottles but otherwise it's pretty easy. It's nice to not have to worry too much about bedding and it's easy to clean. I have thought maybe newspaper on the lower large tray for easier clean but otherwise I just leave it clear and open.

I don't use anything in the drop pan either. Once I used newspaper, then switched to fleece liners, but once I tried a bare tray I never looked back.

I have a trio now, and I do not use "glider diners" (tried them, but they became a pain to keep up with).

I usually clean the drop pan daily, every morning. I can get by probably to go a couple to a few days if needed, like if I'm away for a short trip or sick.

I used custom made liners from Jana's Suggie Shoppe I have shelf liners and corner shelf liners (I do not use my corner shelf, but the liners sit on the cage floor for feeding station). I use these where the feeding stations are. These are brushed off with a paper towel as I remove feeding bowls each morning. Then I check cage floor grate and any other spaces where food may have been stuck, those areas are spot cleaned. Then I take the paper towel and brush all droppings in the tray into a pile and then onto a small dustpan. After the debris is removed, I spray the tray with v/w solution in my spray bottle and wipe clean with another paper towel. This doesn't take too long and I feel it helps cut down on odor as well as prevent the attraction of buggers.
