Last night my boyfriend and I attempted our first tent time with our two gliders. We've had them about 2 weeks now and thought it might be time. Batman, the older one (OOP in October) was extremely curious, jumping all around, climbing on us, etc. The only thing was when he came up to our hands, he always nipped at our fingers! It wasn't hard at all, but when we reprimanded him for it, he just backed up and then did it again right away! Is this just a curiosity thing? Because if we didn't reprimand him right away, he'd continue and do it a bit harder.

Winnie, the younger joey (OOP January) was very nervous. She explored a bit at the end, but mostly didn't want to do anything. She just stood there, looking for a place to hide and moving away from us if we pet her. She didn't bite at all, she's very docile and calm, but she didn't seem to enjoy tent time really.

Should I wait on tent time for her, or does she need it in order to continue bonding? Or should I keep using my bonding pouch and try tent time later on?

You might try taking her into the tent using a bonding pouch so she still has some security. Let her come out and explore when she is ready. She may start by exploring you rather than having the big ole tent all at once. Some gliders take a little more time while others just go for it.

I agree with Karen. Also, you might want to put a blanket on the floor of the tent. (I put mine on our bed so I don't have to climb to the floor with an old flannel sheet inside). Just something 2ashable. Oh and tissues for poo.

As for the nipping, have a toy handy or a feather. A "Sst or Tsk" helps too. It's glider talk for I don't like what you're doing. He is just curious where his treat is,, and what you taste like.
