So I have my little guy, Mochi who is about 19 weeks OOP now, and am going to be getting another little boy from someone tomorrow afternoon. I've done a lot of looking into the subject and have seen a variety of 'can/can't' as to the idea of introducing males together. Some people say it can be done if both are neutered, some say it can be done when they aren't- brothers are apparently good to go, and Joeys are easier to introduce. Neither boy is neutered, as they are both too young to do so by my vet's standards. Mochi, as I said is about 19 weeks OOP, and ...sortof...? Has his bald spot? He's grown the fur back on it. His personality is very laid back and calm, he likes to cuddle, and I know he's looking for someone out there to play with him- he just seems uninterested in 'playing' with me. (Apparently, I am good for scritches, sleeping on, sitting on and getting treats from, but playing is not a thing he thinks I can do.) The new boy is a young joey- just ready to leave mum & dad. I'm planning to take all the steps to introduce them, Two cages, pouch swapping, introduction in neutral territory, but was wondering if anyone else has experience with introducing -younger- male gliders together? Has it worked for you? Anyone have any good suggestions for me?

Mochi, as I said is about 19 weeks OOP, and ...sortof...? Has his bald spot You need to take it slow and be very careful with the introduction face to face.
As you stated Mochi's age above in weeks, when you think another way, he is almost five months old as well as becoming sexually mature
He is definitely going to be the alpha male, so even though you take all precautions with introductions, you still have at least one male who knows for sure he is a male.
It may work, but eventually they are both going to mature. That is why it is suggested that at least one, if not both, be neutered.

My plan is to neuter one- if not both of them- but I have to wait until Feb to neuter Mochi (Our vet wants him at 28 weeks OOP, which is why I've been counting him in weeks so far. ;p) I plan to take things slowly, and I'm ready to get bitten if the face-to-face becomes a glider-ball- I'm just hoping that I'm going to be extremely lucky, and even though he's older and will want to be alpha, his laid back persona will come into play and he'll be accepting of the new boy. Of course, if he isn't, and we have to wait on trying again until he's been neutered, I'm prepared to do that too.

Did your vet say why 28 weeks? That's a very long time. Most are neutered around 8-12 weeks. It's really better to neuter them before they become sexually mature, which is about 16 weeks.
