Hi, I found two gliders in need of a new home and I'm seriously considering it, but I'm very unsure what a fair price would be for them.. I know it depends on a lot of factors, but I would rather give the new gliders a good, stable home with good food and a generous emergency saving if anything ever were to happen than giving a lot of money to the current owner. The travel itself would cost quite a bit of money and time from my side and since I can't just go over and visit there's also a little bit of risk involved in terms of temperament etc and getting them accustomed to my current gliders, so there's definitely a lot of work What do you think?

I have 4 rescue's, two pairs, that I took in at different times. The 1st set we took in cost about $250 USD and came with the cage and all their accessories. The 2nd set cost $0 USD and then $50 for the cage, if we didn't take the cage it would have been no cost.
So, it will depend on the person and what their situation is and if they need the money or want to do the right thing for the animals.
I have seen some rescues go for as much as $1,000 USD but that is very rare and wouldn't be common.
Our first set the travel was very minimal, like a 40 minute drive one way. The 2nd set was a 4 hour drive one way for both us and the person giving them away. So again, it depends on person and the situation. That person that was just wanting a good home for her pets was giving them away for free and drove 4 hours to get them to us.
You will have to kind of feel it out and do what you feel is right for you, the pets, and the other person and hopefully it will all work out. It seems like you are doing it for the right reasons so you have to determine how much it is worth to you to save these animals.
Best of luck, Phil
