I've been trying for 2 nights to get the girls to come out and play on their own with us.

Dot normally gets up, eats all the good veggies and stalks around on the floor of the cage... Tonight, she goes back to bed...

So tonght, I sing to them I talk to them... I got the soft " Go away don't bother me" crab...

Hubby went to bed early, about a half an hour later the barking starts... (The cage is at the foot of our bed still)

So I grab a few mealies out of the fridge and head to the bedroom.

I talk to them softly...

I hear " Go away!" Crabs from the pouch...

Barking and still in the pouch? Really?

So I reach in tickle rub the bottom of their pouch, kind juggle them a bit and then Dot pops her head out...

So I reach in with a mealie, make her bodily stretch hind legs out to reach my fingers. Ya know the horizontal stretch they can do, hoping she will climb off the pouch (which is what she normally does) so I can feed a mealie to Fiona (who is the pouch princess that likes to be fed in bed)...

But nope... Not tonight... Dot grabs her mealie and sits right on the opening on what I assume is Fiona.

So this is what happens... See pic...


I go to feed a mealie to Fiona and Dot was lik "Nope that's mine!, That one too!"

And poor Fiona just looks up at Dot like "That one was mine!

So once Dot's mouth and fist were full, and Fiona got her first mealie, I ran grabbed my phone and got this shot...

In my presence, they will not take food away from each other if it's being chewed on. They look to me for their treat.

Anyway, I had to share this pic and will show hubby over coffee in the morning... I just thought it was extra cute!
