 My girls do that occasionally. I keep at least 2 sleeping pouches with blankies ( 4×4" cut up fleece.) So if they choose to sleep apart they can. They may be fighting for who gets to sleep on the bottom. Or vice versa.

Dawn is right, they could be grumbling over position in the pouch, or one has their foot in the others face.
Crabbing means different things depending on the intensity of the crabbing. It means anything from your bothering me to I am scared to death or I am very mad!
