I've done about 2 weeks of research into getting a glider. Pros and cons, I believe I am ready to get a couple of them. I know it's best to get 2 of then and I roughly know what to feed them and how much love and attention they need which will be provided and then some . I was looking into getting a cage and supplies first and have it all set up before I go out and get them. Does anyone know if the Congo kit (cage everything included) is any good to get by chance? If like to get a starter kit so I have all basics then get everything else after. Any and all ideas would be grateful. Thank you

The Congo cage is a great cage, it looks like they switched the included wheel to the safer Silent Runner, (I believe it is axle free, therefor safer). For a start, probably not to bad but you will still need more furnishings in addition, and may eventually look for better quality supplies in the future. The vendor, hand-made wheels are mesh and do not require as frequent cleaning as the SR's solid track will need, the SR will require much more and frequent maintenance. You may want to check out some toys and cage sets from vendors unless you are able to make your own safe items.

The easiest way to find what people put in their glider's cages, do a search on glider cage setups. Also can click on the " vendors" link highlighted in blue.

I have had my gliders for a week now and I also got a started kit in addition to that I got a cage set on ebay 7 peace they have all kinds of themes (mine is all spiderman). I got a rope at the dollar store that was in the pet section and hung it from the top of the cage. They love chasing each other up and down it and a bonding pouch (also on ebay that is spiderman as well). The only other thing that I have in there cage right now is a coconut house they go in it sometimes but they love chewing on it.

We got our cage set from fuzzylovers.com you can get a 15 piece set for $40 plus shipping. You get to choose from a selection of fabrics too. I love mine. They're very well made and I'd definitely order from them again. We buy our bonding pouches from petsugargliders.com also very well made and super adorable and not too expensive. We bought cage liners from janas suggie shoppe. Jana gets back to you quickly and she makes them pretty much same day. We don't have our little babies yet but most of everything we bought was suggested in the forums on here. Hope that helped a little bit.

Do you know if the cage pouches and other fleece stuff has hidden seams? Can you post a picture of the inside of your pouch. Hidden seems are the safest for gliders, but you should still check your pouches daily for holes or loose threads and human hair. Human hair even as short as an inch can get wrapped around toes and cut off the circulation.
